Certis Solutions is seeking to hire a full-time Staff Civil Engineer to perform feasibility studies and reports, engineering design, field engineering, and construction management services on a variety of projects. The Staff Civil Engineer will work under the direction of a licensed engineer or engineering geologist and have the opportunity to pursue Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
As a Staff Civil Engineer, you use your exceptional interpersonal skills as you interact with clients, designers, consultants, contractors, and coworkers. You prepare soil and rock slope engineering and stabilization designs as needed. For roadways and civil works projects, you prepare plans, technical designs, and engineer's estimates. You conduct fieldwork including site investigations and construction monitoring. With your attention to detail, you also provide quality control and technical analysis on projects. As you collaborate with peers within your department, you are able to successfully complete projects. It is rewarding to know that your hard work makes a positive impact on our community.
1-4 years civil engineering experience.
Desire to pursue Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
Passing the Fundamentals of Engineering exam with corresponding current EIT is preferred.
Experience working with CADD and/or Civil 3D is preferred.
Relevant coursework includes (but not limited to) soil mechanics, geology/structural geology, geotechnical engineering, groundwater/hydrology, civil engineering.
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, geological engineering, or a related field.
