Certis is looking for Project Engineers to assist with the execution of heavy civil and fire clean-up projects in accordance with the established budget, schedule, contract plans and specifications.
• Responsible for driving a safety culture which promotes Incident and Injury Free Performance
• Maintain administrative costs per the established budget
• Perform technical review of contract plans and specifications
• Prepare contract submittals
• Procure equipment and materials
• Manage subcontractors and project record documents
• Provide oversight and documentation related to project quality control in accordance with the contract plans, specifications, and company policies and procedures
• Implement cost tracking and accounting per the company’s policies and procedures
• Assist with marketing efforts to help achieve company’s financial goals, including development of the company’s growth plans to expand into new market sectors
• Adhere to all federal, state and local regulations
• Ability to travel
• Perform other administrative or office duties or projects as required or as assigned
• 1-3 Years field experience
• Ability to embrace a culture of safety
• Strong computer aptitude, including MS Office, AutoCAD, USACE QCS System
• Must thoroughly understand the scope of project through plans and project specifications
• Must be self-directed with outstanding organizational skills
• Have strong attention to detail
• Physical and mental fitness
• Strong focus on quality
• Possess ability to work with limited supervision • Ability to read, interpret, and understand construction drawings
• Surveying experience a plus
• In-Situ Stabilization project experience a plus
• Understanding of Microsoft Project & Primavera scheduling software (P6)
• Company procurement and purchasing experience
• BS, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent
• 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training
• 8-Hour OSHA Refresher
• Competent Person Safety Training
• 30-Hour OSHA Construction Safety Training
