Certis Solutoins has an opening for a Project Manager based out of Sacramento, California, working on Electrical Engineering projects. This role will often be involved in the entire scope of the project from initiation through close-out. The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful initiation, planning, execution, control and close-out of electrical engineering projects. The work will be performed at the client site with some minimal travel.
- Provide strategic project management leadership for large and complex renewable projects
- Responsible for the overall management of the project scope, schedule and cost
- Accountable for key project decision making
- Manage a collaborative project team to ensure each key functional project discipline is meeting the planned project scope, schedule and cost
- Lead overall project – coaching, conflict resolution, facilitation, motivation and negotiation
- Responsible for leading project meetings
- Function as the point person for contract negotiation and management
- Assess project risk and proactively develop mitigation plans
- Proactively manage project requests for information and action items
- Work collaboratively with the Project Controls team to ensure project schedules and costs are managed and tracking to plan
- Responsible for negotiating and executing contracts and services agreements.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
- Demonstrate excellent leadership, verbal/written communications, time management, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Consistently produce results that meet goals, has high work standards, and understands the business environment and processes
- Work to be performed at the client site
- 5-10 years of project management experience is preferred
- Experience with Civil in Renewable projects desirable
- Demonstrate the ability to be organized and work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities
- Must be able to prepare clear and concise status updates and reports as required
- Proven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)
- Must be able to travel to project sites as required
- Must have permanent work authorization for the US
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field required
- PMP Certification preferred
- PE desirable
