Certis Solutions is seeking an experienced Land Surveyor to assist with and lead projects throughout Norther California, Primarily staking, boundary/topographic, and drone survey projects. Coordination of equipment maintenance and calibrations.


Core Functions

 Drafts maps and topographic surveys.

 Assists field crews in constructing large, high profile projects.

 Prepares construction staking calculations by reading plans and interpreting CAD files.

 Fields calls from potential clients, research, prepare budgets, proposals, contracts and billing.

 Resolves boundaries.

 Prepares and processes parcel maps, tentative maps, final maps, boundary surveys, topographic surveys. Prepares plat maps and legal descriptions, and ALTA’s.

 Shares lessons and skills learned with less-experienced staff.


Technical Responsibilities

 Performs advisory or consulting work for a diverse array of projects and provides training for other team members.

 Creates accurate 3D surfaces. Creates point files, linework files, sketches and cut sheets for survey crews. Key skills/competencies

 Proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D.

 Innovative thinking and excellent data processing ability.

 Strong organizational skills and time management.


8+ Years


 Education:

Bachelor’s degree in surveying, or

Associates degree in surveying – with minimum 8 years of experience as an office

surveyor.

 Licensing and Certification:

LSIT Certificate

Licensed Land Surveyor in California (Preferred) or in the process of taking the exam.
