Drafts maps and topographic surveys.
Assists field crews in constructing large, high profile projects.
Prepares construction staking calculations by reading plans and interpreting CAD files.
Fields calls from potential clients, research, prepare budgets, proposals, contracts and billing.
Resolves boundaries.
Prepares and processes parcel maps, tentative maps, final maps, boundary surveys, topographic surveys. Prepares plat maps and legal descriptions, and ALTA’s.
Shares lessons and skills learned with less-experienced staff.
Technical Responsibilities
Performs advisory or consulting work for a diverse array of projects and provides training for other team members.
Creates accurate 3D surfaces. Creates point files, linework files, sketches and cut sheets for survey crews. Key skills/competencies
Proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D.
Innovative thinking and excellent data processing ability.
Strong organizational skills and time management.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in surveying, or
Associates degree in surveying – with minimum 8 years of experience as an office
surveyor.
Licensing and Certification:
LSIT Certificate
Licensed Land Surveyor in California (Preferred) or in the process of taking the exam.
